My father has passed away, and my mother is in her later years. Their wedding attire went mouldy and was thrown out, but I kept the buttons. I have them in a little pack, and wonder how altered art could help.
The creative challenge is to use these buttons in a way that the whole family could appreciate - we all live in different areas. The simplest thing would be to sew them on a quilt or a cloth, or make a piece of art, but the creative minds on this site might let me see something that I have not.
Hi Patrick,
Thank you for your 'creative challenge', as you call it.
This is the sort of question that we normally handle on our Altered Art Questions and Answers page, but I have to confess that right now I don't have an answer for you.
Perhaps some of our other visitors could apply their 'creative minds' to finding a use for those buttons that's both decorative and a fitting memento of your parents' wedding day.
It will be interesting to see what other people think. They can make suggestions and leave comments by clicking on this link, or the one that they'll find just below.
